This last week not too much happened. I'm gonna make it short and next week I'll add a little more.
We had Christmas! Which was super fun. We ate with a few members and I got to talk to my family!
Christmas is weird in Spain because they celebrate it the night of the 24th. They eat their Christmas dinner the 24th around 10 and then open presents at midnight. They aren't too patient to open presents huh, but they sure have a great time. I enjoyed seeing a different way to celebrate Christmas.
We then had some visits and not much more. Honestly missionary work is pretty repetitive. Just find, meet with the same people, and repeat. It's been hard this holiday season to meet with people because they go on vacation or simply want to just relax and not do anything. So its been a little less productive but we try our best to meet with everyone.
To be honest I don't have many pictures either because truly not much has happened. It was a normal week.
As a mission we have been doing a read through Preach My Gospel challenge. Basically every week we read one chapter from the book and study it. And now we are on chapter 4. To me, Preach My Gospel is like the scriptures. You can read and read it and something new will come out every time. I also read the Book of Mormon each day and just this last Thursday I finished reading it for the second time in my life. It took me 7 months but that's ok. I took it slow and studied and marked the book and truly it was a great experience. I know that it is written for our day and that we need to continue studying every day to try and understand as much as we can from the book. The fact is, we never stop learning and we can always grow our testimonies. I know the Book of Mormon was written for our day and with each of us in mind. It was written by God's prophets and for the purpose of bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. Truly without that book we could not receive eternal life because we would not know all we need to do to achieve it.
Have a happy new year everyone! I'm excited to spend the next entire year in he mission and to have more life changing experiences! Love you all!
Elder Keith
